pointer to the pointer, cleaning lessons, us and our weird habits are something that lasts, man at work and god.
Things I Noticed.
Hello,
You are reading the post from “Things I Noticed” on my site.
Here are few things from my past week that caught my attention -
Internet Finds - I found a website that somhow is a funny take on an issue I have at work.
Few users at work, could not see the mouse pointers when working on a particular application. This was however an intermittent issue and the functionality was back to normal.Well today when I was writing this, I came across a wonderful website (best experience is on a laptop or wide monitor). The site name is pointerpointer.com
It just does that, points to where the point currently is but with images of random people pointing to it.
My first thought, what if this was integrated as an extension on to pointer on the system, that says, where am I and it gives a tiny gif showing here I am. Silly, but thought you’ll have your fun finding your pointer pointed by random people.Thought I am pondering over -
Cleaning teaches us more about work than any other book.
I was cleaning the kitchen. I didn’t wanted to; mom said to; so, I was. But as I was cleaning, I thought, we just do the cleaning and not the end job of cleaning.
We maybe making the kitchen clean but the final touch of putting back the cleaning objects, and whatever you did to make the place clean is the end. Not just cleaning.
This step was missed in training by most. This step teaches us humbleness, this teaches to respect the things. The whole of IT industry, real estate industry, food industry in most places (especially Hyderabad) is missing this. So, I decided, from now on, if I have a task, making sure the start to end is completed and then move to the next one. I feel this is what my work life is missing because of constant pressure to multitask. But that stops now.
Few best clicks from my recent film archive -
This is a picture of a worker in California Burrito , Hitech City, Hyderabad having his me time amidst his work hour.
The moment felt so real and raw - Reminds me that we and our weird interests are the things that stay, so keep doing the things you love doing.
This I feel is one of the best picture I have clicked from this roll. It depicts man at his work and god literally next to him. Is it fare, is work equal to god, are humans now so divided from God, is this because of the growing tensions within and among religions that now, the spirituality is not a communal thing but a personal one?
Many questions, but at the end of the day - it is a man at work and god.
The images are posted on my archive website → here.
