Day 8

Writing is a skill. In here I send notes of my writing from the 50 days of writing course by David Perell, to reflect, develop and build my writing style.

In the 8th email from 50 day writing course by David Perell, we are told about how bringing everything together can save time, while having a second brain and a typing speed from the last one.

In the email David goes on to say

Writing is research and development for your brain. The words you publish now are the seeds of your future projects. Every time you write down an idea, you add a Lego block to your intellectual arsenal. The more Legos you have, the more things you can build. Writing is the same. The more you write now, the more you can create in the future. As the number of artifacts you create increase linearly, the number of connections you make between them increase exponentially.

The amount of time put in creating the content is similar to drafting and editing and the process requires us to give equal time to both. However, having a second brain which provides outline will have an impeccable gain of time for doing other parts of writing in a splendid fashion.

My thoughts:

having the most elegant note-taking and second brain will benefit us just like how extra Lego pieces will let you build amazing creations.

Just like the day 7 post, I will be attaching some amazing people who have built an amazing second brain tutorials and overview.

You can find more about building second brain from Forte Labs. They have an overview of why a second brain and how to get started.

There are a ton of videos on YouTube from various creators like Ali Abdaal, Elizabeth Filips and Red Gregory among many others.
